Sliced Audio

Split long audio at pauses

How it works

  1. Drop your file: an audiobook, a lecture, a podcast.
  2. Choose how long each part should be and, if you like, a faster speed.
  3. Listen to the first two parts. If the cut sounds right, split the whole file.
  4. Download all parts in one ZIP.

Questions

How do I split an audiobook into parts?

Drop the file above, choose the part length and press Show previews. Each cut falls on a pause in speech, so no word is cut in half.

Why aren't the parts exactly the same length?

Each cut moves to the nearest pause, so a part can be a little shorter or longer than you chose. The last part is whatever is left.

Can I speed up the audio?

Yes. Choose a speed in the settings; the voice keeps its pitch. The part length is how long a part plays after the speed-up.

Which formats work?

Most audio files, for example MP3 and M4B. You get the parts in the same format as your file or in MP3.

What happens to my file?

You don't need an account. Your files are deleted automatically, usually within hours and never later than a day after the upload.
