Terms of Use
Last updated: November 6, 2026
This is the main version of these terms. Versions in other languages are translations for your convenience. If they differ, the English version applies.
By using Sliced Audio (slicedaudio.com), you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.
The service
Sliced Audio splits a long audio file into parts at pauses in speech. It can also change the speed and the format. It is free and needs no account.
Your files
- Upload only files you have the right to use. Many audiobooks and lectures are protected by copyright. Splitting a file for your own listening is one thing. Sharing the parts with others may not be allowed.
- Your files stay yours. We use them only to make the parts for you (see the Privacy Policy).
- You are responsible for the files you upload and for what you do with the parts.
What you must not do
- Upload illegal content or files you have no right to use.
- Use the service to harm others or to break the law.
- Get around the limits or the robot check, for example by using many addresses.
- Send automated or bulk requests, or load the service so that others can't use it.
- Try to break into the service or reach files that aren't yours.
We may block access or stop processing files if we see this kind of use.
Limits
To keep the service free for everyone, it has limits. Currently they are:
- a file up to 1 GB and up to 30 hours long;
- from one address, up to 10 new files, 10 preview requests and 10 full splits per hour;
- up to 10 files in work at the same time across the whole site. When the site is busy, try again a little later.
The limits can change at any time. If you reach one, the site tells you.
Files are deleted automatically
Sliced Audio doesn't store files for you. Files and parts are deleted automatically, usually within hours and never later than about a day after the upload. Download the parts and keep your own copy. We can't restore deleted files.
No warranty
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don't promise that it will always work, that every cut will fall where you want it, or that the parts will suit your purpose. Listen to the previews before you split the whole file, and keep your original file.
Limitation of liability
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for any loss from using the service or from not being able to use it, including lost files, time or data.
Changes
We may change, pause or stop the service, or any part of it, at any time. We may also update these terms. The new version applies from the “Last updated” date on this page. If you keep using the site after that, you accept the new terms.
